Behavior Change Specialization (BCS)
NASM Behavior Change Specialists design strategies to help clients achieve goals that result in lasting health and betterment in their lives. These specialists build positive client relationships to support behavior change.
Certified Group Fitness Instructor (AFAA-CGFI)
AFAA Certified Group Fitness Instructors (NCCA accredited) plan and lead group exercise classes. They use hands-on leadership to guide class participants in a group fitness setting.
Certified Group Fitness Instructor (CGFI)
AFAA Certified Group Fitness Instructors plan and lead group exercise classes. They use hands-on leadership to guide class participants in a group fitness setting.
Certified Indoor Cycling Instructor (CICI)
AFAA Indoor Cycling Instructors design indoor cycling classes to motivate and support clients. The CICIs use metrics (such as heart rate) to track client progress and adapt classes in real time, if needed.
Certified Nutrition Coach (CNC)
NASM Nutrition Coaches educate and support their clients to use nutrition to improve their health and wellness. They offer advice that matches their clients' personal health and fitness objectives, optimizing the results through complementary nutritional strategies.
Certified Personal Trainer (CPT)
NASM Certified Personal Trainers are knowledgeable of the scientific principles, foundational concepts, and practical techniques to train and motivate clients in exercise activities. They assess their clients’ fitness levels, personal goals, and skills to create customized training programs, provide regular feedback, and progress updates.
